Miles is a versatile filmmaker based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, whose career spans award-winning documentaries, immersive AR/VR productions, and behind-the-scenes features for major Hollywood films. As a director, cinematographer, and editor, his work has taken him across the globe—from the jungles of Ecuador to the stages of Coachella.

Miles began his career documenting the making of Proof of Life, which led to nearly a decade of behind-the-scenes work on blockbuster films including Miss CongenialityThe Last CastleVan HelsingFast & Furious, and three Harry Potter films in London.

In 2009, he shifted focus to documentary filmmaking, directing and editing projects around the world, including China, Vietnam, Sierra Leone, and embedding with the UN in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His most personal work, Miracle Fishing, chronicles the year-long kidnapping of his father in Colombia. Premiering at Tribeca in 2020, the film earned the German Independence Award at Oldenburg, was named a New York Times Critic’s Pick, and secured a streaming deal with Discovery+.

Miles continued to craft emotionally resonant stories across documentary and unscripted formats. Most recently, he co-edited the heartwarming documentary Into the Spotlight, now streaming, furthering his commitment to authentic storytelling.

Since 2015, Miles has also worked in live AR/VR production, serving as director of photography and technical director for concerts by U2, Coldplay, Muse, and Elton John, as well as livestreams for Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits. His portfolio includes high-profile events such as the Super Bowl Halftime Show, The Oscars, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade—one of which earned an Emmy nomination.
